6. AWARDS: a) Daryl Mahler Outstanding Performer Awards - M & F

7. DISQUALIFICATIONS: The Referee will inform the teacher coach immediately of any disqualification involving his or her athlete(s) and the rule which was violated.

8. DISPUTES: a) If a result is being disputed, the first step is to make a verbal appeal to the Track or Field Referee.

b) If the ruling of the Referee is being disputed a written protest must be submitted along with a $50.00 fee to the Meet Director who will submit the protest to the Jury of Appeal. This must be submitted within 30 minutes of the post time on the result. The decision of the 3 member Jury of Appeal is final.

9. DIRECTIONS: St. Marcellinus is located on the north east corner of Mavis Road and Courtney Park just north of Highway 401.  Easily accessable from all major highways.  Please note that all traffic onto the championship site MUST come from Mavis Road.  Hwy 401 is under construction between Hurontario and Mavis.  Plan for traffic delays.

Use the Mavis exit off Hwy 401.  Take Mavis Road north to Courtneypark Drive.  Turn right (East) onto Courtneypark Drive.  Entrance into the facility will ONLY be a right in, at the WEST Entrance and a right out, at the EAST Entrance.  On the days of the event, the EAST Entrance (Traffic Lights) will be EXIT ONLY. 

10. BEHAVIOUR: The OFSAA Code of Conduct will be strictly enforced for all competitors, coaches and spectators.

Please note: Spike length for all track events, long, triple and pole vault runways is 6mm pyramid spikes.  All Javelin events will be held using a GRASS runway.

Please note the following quote from the 2012 OFSAA Playing Regulations:

Each association shall be permitted to enter two teams and four individuals (who are not a member of the representative team) in each of the three classifications (Midget, Junior, Senior). (c) A team shall be comprised of no more than five (5) runners in boys' events and five (5) runners in girls' events. Any one school is allowed representation up to a maximum of five (5) runners (boys) and five (5) runners (girls) in each age group.

Coaches, Please ensure that you delete athletes that are not coming to a meet. The more accurate the numbers, the better it is for the meet convenors and in turn the better for the athletes.

Import Entries Feature

If you are going to the Hawk Dreams meet, and want to copy your entries to another meet (Marauder, Charger or GHAC) then that function is now available. Just login as usual and you will see import from {dropdown to select Hawk} to {whichever meet you've selected to enter}

The explanation is more complicated than the feature to try it out and let me know if you have any issues. If you have some small adjustments from week to week, forward them all and just click the X to remove the ones that are not going on a particular week.

If you have a team account created from track or a past cross country season you don't need to make another account. If you forgot the password, just put in your email and reset it. South Regional Info

South Regions - May 31st and June 1st at Niagara Olympic Club

Coaches must bring all OFSAA forms to registration to pick up packages for Regionals - I will NOT be bringing extra forms with me and if those forms are not completed and submitted, it will be assumed that that school and it's athletes don't wish to attend OFSAA (or don't think they are going to qualify).

The forms include (get forms here):

• eligibility (with any approved transfers)
• practice form
• supervision form
• photo release form
• Rules of Behaviour form.

Most of these forms also require Principal signatures!!

Here is a copy of the South Region Playing regulations that does include this year's schedule.

Dave Ropret from St. Marcellinus SS (dave.ropret@dpcdsb.org) is responsible for entries and results for South Regionals and will be sending our advancers to OFSAA.

GHAC Update

This is a reminder that ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTITUTIONS ARE PERMITTED on the day of the meet.

No forms are due at GHAC but please ensure that all required OFSAA forms are submitted on day #1 of OFSAA SOUTH.

Cheques for GHAC are payable to NOTRE DAME CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL. This one-time GHAC entry fee covers: a)
GHAC expenses - phototiming, facility rental, etc.
b) GHAC's share of OFSAA SOUTH REGION costs
c) all OFSAA entry fees and participation fees for participating GHAC schools

Your school's entry fee is due WEDNESDAY. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in ensuring that your cheque is submitted on this day.

Seed Times are very important for track events! We seed each heat based on these times, so if we don't have accurate times then it is not fair for all involved

If you are unsure about times then you can use last year's results to gauge it.
