The Dundas Valley Gryphon Meet
Thursday, September 21, 2017
The course is varied, covering grassy terrain, hilly woodland trails and
graveled paths. This will offer a great warm up for teams and runners hoping to compete
in Petawawa this November. We sincerely look forward to hosting you at this event and
look forward to seeing you in September.

Location: Christie Lake Conservation Area- Hamilton, Ontario
The Conservation Area is located at 1000 Highway #5, right across from
Flamborough Downs, west of Highway #6 and only minutes from Hamilton, Burlington and
Cambridge.
Entry Fees: $10.00 per competitor to a maximum of $300 per school. All cheques
should be made payable to Dundas Valley Track. The cut off for entries will be Monday,
Sept.19 at Noon. There is the possibility of an earlier time if numbers exceed capacity.

The course is mostly flat and fast, covering grassy terrain within the perimeter of Churchill Park. Athletes will run loops of 1000m and 2000m. We sincerely hope to see you on the 4th of October.

Course is challenging trail with some grass areas.
There are limited washroom facilities and no change rooms so
come dressed to run. Awards will occur immediately after the last
race. Park will be open at 8 am.

CKSS Invitational
October 18, 2017
The race will wind its way through the enchanted forests of Hilton Falls Conservation Area. The trails are well
defined and unbelievably scenic. Surfaces vary from limestone and tar to loose gravel to well packed dirt. The
races begin with some challenging uphill’s but the racers are rewarded with a downhill cruise to the finish line.
At this time of the year it is a natural treat for the athletes as they race through the trails enhanced by the
blazing colours of fall and the beauty of the lake the competitors will run around. After the race or as a pre-
race warm-up the athletes can make their way to the viewing station at the falls where there will be a fire going
and your athletes will soak in the intrinsic beauty of a 10-metre waterfall that cascades over the Niagara
Escarpment and the mysterious mill ruins that surround it. Furthermore the Picnic areas are abundant to help
cap off a great day of competition. Finally this race will give your athletes an excellent opportunity to become
familiar with the GHAC course that we are hosting at Hilton Falls a week later
